Researcher
Alexander van Herk is a specialist in emulsion polymerization and nanotechnology, which has applications in capsules for controlled release, smart coatings and antifouling coatings. At present, he is a Principal Scientist at A*STAR’s Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences (ICES), where he is working on chemical recycling and making existing polymers more recyclable through small modifications during synthesis.
