Andrea Pavesi is a Young Investigator at A*STAR’s Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB), working on innovative technological platforms for cancer research. His primary focus is to create organ-on-a-chip models to mimic the tumour microenvironment features and engineer the human immune system to treat cancer—enhancing immune cell populations to improve their efficacy against solid tumours. He is also a co-founding member of AIM Biotech, a Singapore-based start-up integrated into the lab as a service facility. Pavesi earned his PhD degree in Biomedical and Biomechanical Engineering and completed his postdoctoral training through the Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMART).
