Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN)

Olaf Rötzschke is a Principal Investigator at the Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN) at the Agency of Science Technology and Research (A*STAR) and Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Microbiology at the National University of Singapore (NUS). As an expert in cellular immunology, immune regulation and immune genetic he published over 100 scientific studies cited in more than 15,000 articles (h-index: 53). He studied biochemistry at the Universities of Hannover and Tübingen, where he received his PhD in 1993. He started his scientific carrier at the Max-Planck Institute of Biology in the group of Hans-Georg Rammensee, where he isolated here the first natural T cell antigens and resolved their primary structure. Besides phenotypic and functional characterization, his current studies also include genome- and transcriptome-analysis, as well as high-dimensional single-cell characterization by CyTOF, scRNAseq and CITE-seq technologies.
