Winston Chan obtained his PhD from the National University of Singapore in 2012. At the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS), his research focused on unraveling how pluripotent stem cells maintain their cell plasticity and using chemical means to manipulate cell fate. His post-doctoral research focuses on utilizing stem cells to model diseases in a dish to advance the understanding of disease progression. He currently manages a national research program (EMULSION) on fatty liver disease as a senior program manager. In 2019, he was recognized as a Gilead Sciences Research Scholars in Liver Disease.
