Zhi Wei Seh is a Senior Principal Scientist at the A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (A*STAR IMRE). His research focuses on the design of new materials for energy storage and conversion, including advanced battery and electrocatalyst systems. He is widely recognised for his contributions to lithium-sulfur battery technologies, including the development of the first yolk-shell nanostructure, which has since been licensed. A Highly Cited Researcher on Web of Science, Seh received his BS and PhD degrees from Cornell University and Stanford University, respectively.
