Aarthi Ravikrishnan is an accomplished team leader and data scientist with extensive experience analysing large-scale multi-omic datasets, including metagenomic, metabolomic and transcriptomic data, using cutting-edge systems biology techniques. She specialises in developing novel algorithms and machine learning models to unravel metabolism in microbial communities. Aarthi earned her PhD in Computational Biology from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where her work received the prestigious Best Thesis Award in Data Sciences. As a Scientist at the A*STAR Genome Institute of Singapore (A*STAR GIS), she investigates population-level microbiome data to uncover microbial associations with human health. Her research focuses on translating these insights into products aimed at improving health outcomes, with a particular interest in the intersection of ageing, the microbiome, and the metabolome.
