Basura Fernando is a research scientist at the Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) of A*STAR. He is a recipient of the National Research Foundation (Singapore) Fellowship and a visiting PhD supervisor at the University of Edinburgh in the UK. Previously, he was an honorary lecturer at the Australian National University and a research fellow at the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision at the same institution. In 2015, he obtained his PhD degree from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. His interests include computer vision and machine learning research.
