Researcher
Di Zhu is an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore and a Senior Scientist at A*STAR Q.InC and A*STAR IMRE. His research interests include integrated quantum photonics, applied superconductivity and nanoscale electromagnetics. Zhu received his PhD and MSc from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, US, and B.Eng. from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His PhD research focused on superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors, while his postdoctoral work at Harvard University, US, centred on thin-film lithium niobate photonics. Zhu has received multiple scientific awards including the MIT TR35 Asia Pacific award, NRF Fellowship, NUS Young Professorship, Harvard Quantum Initiative Postdoctoral Fellowship, A*STAR National Science Scholarship and MIT Jin-Au Kong thesis award.
