Elizabeth Tham received her MBBS from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLLSoM), National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2007, where she won the Jane Prize in Pediatrics. Thereafter, she received her specialist training in pediatrics and neonatology at the National University Hospital, Singapore and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She is also a Clinician-Scientist and Assistant Professor at YLLSoM, NUS. She is currently principal investigator at A*STAR’s Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (SICS), where she leads the Child Health domain in the Growing Up in Singapore Towards Healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) and Singapore PREconception study of long-term maternal and child Outcome (S-PRESTO) cohort studies. Her research interests include studying the risk factors and signs of childhood allergic disorders, and the role of skin, gut and environmental microbiome in modulating risk and disease control.
