Fuu Ming Kai is a Principal Scientist at the A*STAR National Metrology Centre (A*STAR NMC). He earned his PhD degree from the University of California, Irvine, and specialises in gas metrology, stable isotopes, atmospheric chemistry and environmental science. His recent work focuses on ensuring the quality of low-carbon fuels, advancing air quality measurement techniques and developing cost-effective gas sensors for safety and environmental monitoring.

Kai plays an active role in several international collaborations, notably serving as the former Chair of the Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) Focus Group on Climate Change and Clean Air. He is also deeply involved in projects with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), utilising advanced isotopic and analytical methods to trace the origins of greenhouse gas emissions.
