Gaoliang Yang is a Scientist at the A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (A*STAR IMRE). His research focuses on the design of novel electrolytes and surface/interface heterostructures for rechargeable metal batteries. He has expertise in photo- and electrocatalytic systems, including water splitting and CO₂ reduction using heterogeneous and single-atom catalysts. Yang received his BS and PhD degrees from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China, and Hokkaido University, Japan, respectively.
