Justin Chu is an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). He is concurrently a Joint Senior Principal Investigator at the A*STAR Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB) and Director of Singapore’s high-containment Biosafety Level 3 Facility, which is located at NUS. Chu studies the molecular biology of human enteroviruses that cause hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) as well as mosquito-borne viruses such as dengue, Zika, Japanese encephalitis and chikungunya.
