Kui Yao is a Distinguished Principal Scientist and Senior Group Leader for Piezo Tech at the A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (A*STAR IMRE). His research focuses on advanced piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials, as well as the sensors and transducers enabled by these materials. His work spans applications in structural and condition monitoring; ultrasonic and photoacoustic detection and diagnosis; healthcare; and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS).
