Laura Sutarlie obtained her PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the National University of Singapore in2012. She is a Principal Scientist I at the A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (A*STAR IMRE). Sutarlie’s expertise lies in nanomaterials and sensors/biosensors for the detection of chemicals, biomolecules and microorganisms. Her research interests include low-cost and field-deployable sensors/ biosensors in various areas such as health diagnostics, environmental monitoring and aquaculture.
