Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment (ISCE2)Luwei Chen is a Senior Principal Scientist and Division Director of Carbon Conversion and Future Energy Carriers (CCFEC) at the Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment (ISCE2). Her research focuses on developing catalysts and materials for renewable and alternative energy, biomass valorisation, and carbon dioxide capture and utilisation. Chen is actively engaged in both academic and industrial R&D, having published eight patents, two of which have been commercialised, and 90 research papers with over 6,700 citations (h-index 42). She earned her PhD from the National University of Singapore, an M.S. from Xiamen University, and a B.S. in Physics from Fujian Normal University in China. Before joining A*STAR in November 2023, Chen worked as a research assistant and research fellow at the National University of Singapore.
