Nicolas Bertin is a Group Leader at the A*STAR Genome Institute of Singapore (A*STAR GIS), where he heads the Genome Research Informatics and Data Science Platform (GRIDS). Within the Singapore National Precision Medicine (NPM) programme, Bertin oversees IT infrastructure development and deployment for genomic data acquisition, governance and analysis, aiming to address the challenges of big data analytics and integrative omics in precision medicine (PM). He envisions that PM can help transform the assessment of disease risk, deliver more accurate diagnoses and tailor appropriate therapies while minimising treatment-related side effects for patients.
