Researcher
Qingfeng Chen obtained his degree in 2003 and PhD in 2008 from the University of Science and Technology of China. He pursued postdoctoral research on humanised mouse models at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) before joining the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB) in 2012. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Investigator at IMCB and an associate professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Chen’s research focuses on humanised mouse models, demonstrating their utility in studying infectious diseases, cancers, metabolism and autoimmunity, as well as evaluating human-specific therapeutics. With over 90 research articles published in high-impact journals, his work has been recognised through various fellowships and awards, including the Gilead Sciences International Research Scholar, the Singapore National Centre for Infectious Diseases Fellowship and the Singapore National Research Foundation Fellowship. Additionally, his humanised mouse technologies have been successfully applied in collaboration with industry and through spinoffs.
