A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (A*STAR IMRE)Si Yin Tee, Ice is a Senior Scientist at the A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (A*STAR IMRE). She received her BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry and PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Her research focuses on the design and fabrication of high-performance functional composites for extreme environments. She specialises in interface chemistry and reinforcement mechanisms, tailoring polymer-filler interactions and structure-property relationships to enhance durability under high pressure, ionising radiation, cryogenic temperatures, and elevated heat. Her research contributes to next-generation energy technologies, including energy conversion, hydrogen storage, and materials for nuclear and fusion systems.
