Liang Jie Wong received his PhD from MIT in 2013 and his bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley in 2008, both in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He was a post-doctoral fellow in the MIT Department of Mathematics with Prof. Steven G. Johnson. He is currently a scientist at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), where he studies extreme electron-photon interactions towards the realization of compact X-ray laser sources.
