Yi Zhang received her bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Shandong University, China, in 2014, and her PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2020. In 2021, she was awarded third place in the Shape the Future of ITS competition (Young Professionals Group), organised by the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society (ITSS). Her research interests focus on intelligent transportation systems, including air and urban traffic flow management; model-based traffic signal scheduling; lane change prediction; bus dispatching and operations management; and multi-aircraft conflict-free routing.
