Researcher
Stefan Oehlers is the Principal Investigator of the Bacterial Pathogenesis Lab at the A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR IDL). He was awarded his PhD degree by the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in 2012. Oehlers’ experience in tuberculosis research includes work at Duke University, US, as well as the Centenary Institute and the University of Sydney, Australia, prior to joining A*STAR in 2022. Oehlers’ research currently focuses on using zebrafish models to identify host and bacterial factors that are necessary for mycobacterial disease.
