A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing (A*STAR IHPC)Vinh-Tan Nguyen is a Senior Principal Scientist at the A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing (A*STAR IHPC), where he is also the Innovative Technology Area Lead in Green Technologies for Marine, Offshore, Oil & Gas Engineering. He received his PhD degree from the joint programme between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, US, and the National University of Singapore.
Nguyen’s research focuses on the development of advanced numerical methods and high-performance computing frameworks for the modelling and simulation of coupled multiphysics problems in a wide range of engineering applications. These include aerospace, marine-offshore, biological flows, printing technologies and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-based quantitative risk analysis.
